Sunday School is offered during the school year for children pre-school aged through eighth grade. All school aged children remain in the sanctuary for the start of the service through the Children’s Message. Following the Children’s Message the kids are dismissed to their Sunday School classes.
Our classes are taught by volunteers from within the church and are divided by age group. The curriculum is appropriately age based around pre-school, Kindergarten/First grade, 2nd/3rd grade, 4th/5th grade, and middle school classes. The Pre-school class features a short Bible story and lesson, with plenty of time for play and snack. The lessons for the older kids feature a Bible story, with crafts, songs, dramas, outreach, and other activities selected from the curriculum per the teacher and class’ strengths. Teachers are frequently parents of children in the church, and everyone has a vested interest in making each child feel comfortable and loved in the Sunday School classroom.
