Knitting for Needs

KNITTING/CROCHETING FOR NEEDS
Started as an effort to provide warm clothing to send to our ministries abroad, Knitting for Needs brings together those in the congregation who use their talents to craft hats, gloves, scarves, and other apparel for those in need in our community. Items have been distributed to El Centro in Plainfield, a community center and Presbyterian church for immigrants from Central and South America, the Oncology and Hematology Center in Springfield to comfort their patients, the mothers and children at Raphael’s Life House and the guests at the Cranford-Elmora Soup Kitchen. The group meets on the last Friday of the month at the Church.
