Calling all history buffs and people who like cake! October 31st, 2017, will mark the 500th Anniversary of Martin Luther’s legendary nailing of his “95 Theses” on the doors of Wittenberg Castle, which history marks as the beginning of the Protestant Reformation. As a church which stands as a direct descendant of those church reformers, including Luther, Zwingli, and Calvin, FPCC will offer a number of events in October to commemorate this important event in the life of Christ’s ministry. Join us for:
- A four-week sermon series beginning October 8, focusing on “solas” of the Reformers and their relevance today
- A panel discussion of the Reformation with Professor Jane Cleaver, M.Div., Rev. Caroline Unzaga and Elder Mark Oricchio on October 8
- A Sunday School program on October 29 to help them understand the importance of the Reformation in our faith-life today
- Fellowship events – a special Pub Theology on October 19, and a Reformation Celebration blowout on October 29th
If you are interested in attending the Panel Discussion, please fill out a sign up form and submit to the church office, or place in the offering plate on Sundays leading up to the 8th.
