Connecticut Farms and Hannah Caldwell PTA Collaborate to Support the Cranford-Elmora Soup Kitchen

On Thursday night, December 3, the Cranford Elmora Soup Kitchen, a ministry of the First Presbyterian Church of Cranford,  received donations of 125 Blessing (hygiene) Bags to support their food and clothing Christmas distribution scheduled for Sunday, December 20 outside the First Baptist Church of Elizabeth.  The drive was led by Ms. Karen Drzik, Mission Chair of the Connecticut Farms Presbyterian Church, a long time Cranford Elmora Soup Kitchen volunteer and members of the Hannah Caldwell PTA of Union.

Hannah Caldwell Elementary School PTA leaders Deanna Chase and Jennissee Uy donated the proceeds from their Front Porch Step project to purchase health care items for the Blessing Hygiene Bags, donated the balance of funds collected in a check made out to the Cranford Elmora Soup Kitchen and participated in the presentation which was made at the Connecticut Farms Presbyterian Church.

Thanks go out to the many Union organizations and volunteers who made the donation possible.  Donors included; the Connecticut Farms Presbyterian Church, Staples of Vauxhall, led by store manager Zahedul Haque, Jamar Chiles, owner of Urban Cone, Ed Grauer of Marathon Glove and Safety ,Amazon Smiles,  the Hannah Caldwell Elementary School PTA and Uy and Israel Edmunds Jr, who handled the photography, editing and video service for the presentation.
