Harding School Students Donate 417 Cans of Food to Elizabethport Presbyterian Center

The Harding School in Kenilworth had some fun predicting the score of Superbowl while collecting canned goods for those in need.  While their prediction for the 49ers to win (226 cans) over the Chiefs (191 cans) didn’t exactly pan out, the Elizabethport Presbyterian Center was definitely a winner!

In what has become an annual event in memory of Judy Ringler, a long time secretary in the Harding School, Kenilworth and a supporter and volunteer at the Cranford-Elmora Soup Kitchen, the Student Council of Harding School, under the direction of Ms. Laura Walsh, holds a can food collection, with the collection going to the Cranford-Elmora Soup Kitchen. This year, it was decided to donate the items to the Food Pantry of the Elizabethport Presbyterian Center.

The picture shows Bob and Jean Wands of First Presbyterian Church of Cranford delivering the food to the Elizabethport Presbyterian Center with the assistance of James and Victoria of the Center.   A total of 417 cans were collected
