So, You Want to Get Married?

We rejoice with you for this exciting next chapter of your lives!

First Presbyterian Church of Cranford welcomes couples, regardless of gender, to inquire about holding their Christian marriage ceremony at our church.  The first step in planning your wedding at FPCC starts with contacting the church office as soon as you are ready to marry, providing 1 or 2 requested dates, and scheduling an initial meeting with the pastor.

You do not need to be a member of our church to have your wedding here, but in the Presbyterian tradition, you will have to meet several times with the pastor.  This enables the pastor to counsel the couple and determine their commitment to the sacred bond of Christian marriage. Topics will include the relationship itself, the details of the ceremony and any other questions.  In addition, the Session of FPCC (the board of ruling Elders) will vote to approve the use of the facility for the ceremony, upon the recommendation of the pastor.

Facilities available include the historic and beautiful main sanctuary which seats about 500 guests, and the air-conditioned Dorothy Snyder Chapel which seats about 100 people.  Parking is limited, but street parking is available on Springfield Ave, and the municipal lot on North Union Avenue.

Appointments with the pastoral staff can be made by calling Administrative Coordinator Carol Thee in the main office at (908) 276-8440.  A list of fees can also be obtained from the main office.

Congratulations and may God Bless you in your upcoming marriage!
